Clairvoyance千里眼

In the post-truth digital era, everything is put under a magnifying glass. When an event occurs, people magnify their prejudices, either to attack others or to protect themselves. Technology has made the world a whole, but it has also amplified the noise. I designed two installations using 3D software, a ‘clairvoyant eye’ that mimics the imaging principle of the human eye, and a ‘compliant ear’, a sound transmitting device made up of musical instruments. These devices are extraordinarily sophisticated and massive, as is the case with bias amplified in a technological environment, creating a vicious circle of self-proclaimed objectivity and pomposity, where communication replaces the truth, a new set of Spectacles.

在后真相的数字时代，一切被置于放大镜之下。当事件发生，人们便会放大自己的偏见，或是为了攻击他人，或是为了保护自己，技术将世界变成了一个整体，但也放大了噪音。我用三维软件设计了两个装置，一个是模拟人眼成像原理的 “千里眼”，另一个是由乐器组成的传声装置 “听觉”。这两种设备都异常复杂和庞大，正如在技术环境下被放大的偏见，形成自诩客观和浮夸的恶性循环，传播取代了真相本身，这是一组新的奇观。
